It is open whether the company is continued, according to a spokesman of the company opposite the BR.In any case, the 73-year-old company owner had not yet found a successor. Around 60,000 beverage boxes were affected by the current recall and the company had ceased production at the company's headquarters in Oberscheinfeld since the first recall in February.
This may end the successful company history, which began in 1978 with the drilling of the first source of the Steigerwald mineral fountain. At that time a water for brewing beer was sought in the family-owned brewery, but it was shown that the water had an above-average good quality with suitability for the mineral water."The mineral water was very popular and the production was very difficult because of the demand," the company reports. Therefore, a warehouse / production hall was built in 1987 and a complete filling line had been installed. There were some additional extensions. At present, Steigerwald Mineral Fountain still employs 15 people in production, loading, transport and in the office. Sales are mainly in the regional area of Würzburg, Nuremberg, Bamberg.(fp)
